What is Bikram's Yoga?

Bikram's Beginning Hatha Yoga is a scientifically formulated series of 26 postures and two breathing exercises. Bikram worked with his teacher, Bishnu Ghosh, to create a series of postures designed to heal the body from chronic illness and/or injury and to maintain the body in a healthy condition. Bikram stresses that by "healing the body" he means removing the symptoms of ill health. Bikram's Yoga is therefore both rehabilitative and preventative.
